Interesting Subjects
These are some MATLAB apps I’ve developed, few experiments, recommended software, and other interesting materials.
Wave propagation in structures
Few animated models I’ve created for wave propagation in rod, shaft, beam, and thin plate waveguides.
MATLAB apps
Some MATLAB apps I have created to assist students comprehend physical phenomena.
Longitudinal waves in bars
Quisque commodo id mi non porttitor. Aenean sapien eros, commodo in lectus eu, auctor pretium diam. Mauris non orci quis est hendrerit laoreet id eget purus. Vivamus id ex non urna pulvinar consequat.
Lamb waves propagation in a plate with circular-shaped fault
Lamb waves are fascinating phenomena in the realm of wave propagation within elastic plates. They are guided waves that propagate in thin plates or structures. Unlike bulk waves (such as longitudinal or transverse waves), Lamb waves travel parallel to the surface rather than through the thickness of the material. They help identify cracks in cracked plates and quantify the influence of crack size and orientation.
Signals superposition & Beat phenomenon
This MATLAB app demonstrates the superposition of two signals, and mainly the Beat phenomenon, which is an interference pattern between two sounds of slightly different frequencies.

Room acoustics: mode shapes
Room mode shapes are the collection of resonances that exist in a room when the room is excited by an acoustic source such as a loudspeaker. Room modes are caused by sound reflecting back and forth of room surfaces. There are three types of modes in a room: axial, tangential, and oblique.

Room acoustics: frequency response
This app calculates the frequency response in a room with certain excitation.
